About Kelowna

People often think of Okanagan Valley as a place to get away, but it is a fast-changing area and there are some really great places to live all year round. Kelowna is known as one of Canada's most popular holiday destinations and is also home to the Four Seasons Playground, the world's largest indoor playground for children.

Black Mountain offers you plenty of land to live in, but still has good access to the rest of Kelowna. In addition to many natural attractions, the city itself also has a very well-maintained cultural scene. With snowmobile trails starting on the outskirts of the cities, it also has a popular snowmobile culture in the winter months, with a variety of snowmobiles that can be used on the roads and in parks, as well as a number of trails and tracks for skiing and snowshoeing. There are also some easily accessible ski slopes, including the Black Mountain Skihill, the Kettle Valley Skihill and the Kesseltalbahn.

It is believed that the first people of the Okanagan Valley arrived in the interior of British Columbia as natives from the north as early as 2,000 years ago. In downtown Kelowna, the Okanagan Heritage Museum is working with the West Bank First Nation to tell the region's history in more detail.

If you want to move your daily work routine, Kelowna offers residents an ideal base for their home. If you are looking for a great place to live, work and vacation in the Okanagan Valley, Kelowna should be on your list. Here you will find a wide selection of good restaurants, bars, shops, hotels and restaurants as well as a range of outdoor activities.
